Microblading is a new method of applying permanent make-up with a handtool blade. A microblade tool looks similar to an exacto knife, but instead of there being one big blade, there is a series of micro needles.

The microblade is dipped into a selected color of pigment and then used to make a fine cut, or microstroke, in the skin. PMU artist try to mimic the real hair shape by drawing individual strokes one by one.

What are the advantages of Microblading over other methods

Microblading has many advantages over old methods of facial tattoo. The first and biggest advantage is that it looks more natural and fit to your face. So instead of having a tattoo that doesn’t look like an eyebrow at all, you will have a real look of eyebrow which is sometimes difficult for people around you to distinguish it from real eyebrow!

There are two major differences that make microblading more natural looking compared to the results permanent cosmetics are known for.

First, the type of pigment used for microblading has an iron oxide base. Iron oxide has been a popular ingredient in cosmetics like foundation, blush, lipstick, and eye shadow for decades. An iron oxide base allows the color to softly fade over time and ultimately vanish, unlike the inks used in permanent cosmetic tattoos. This is opposite to the old tattoos that turn into pink or blue over time.

Second, the pigment used for microblading isn’t implanted into the skin as deeply compared to the depth used for permanent cosmetic procedures. The proper depth for the color to be implanted during the microblading procedure is the upper layer of the skin.

The pigment being implanted to the correct depth, combined with fine and well-shaped cuts is what gives microblading results the appearance of natural looking eyebrows. The semi permanent qualities of the microblading pigment prevent it from fading into unnatural shades of blue, pink or gray that are so common with old methods of permanent cosmetics.

Even though naturally perfect eyebrows are few and far between, eyebrow microblading makes it possible to transform any brows into the closest thing to naturally perfect as possible.

Cautions against visiting inexperienced technicians

Having said all about microblading, it is crucial to check few points before visiting a PMU studio.

• Microblading needs an extensive training. Old method of pmu doesn’t have anything to do with Microblading. So if a Studio is professional is applying old method of tattoo doesn’t mean that they can perform a high quality job. .
• Microblading is all about art and drawing strokes! Knowing how to apply the tattoo and make cut is not enough! the PMU artist must be an artist in drawing shapes of the hair.
• The studio and the artist needs a special permit from GGD! Check for the permit and avoid to apply the PMU in the studios who do not have the permit. This is important because of health issues and hygiene standards.
• Having GGD permit does not mean that the Studio are highly skilled and professional. GGD permit is only about hygiene and safety of the work. You need to ask for previous work and talk to the artist to make sure she is able to give you the look that you want.

People have different level in feeling pain. Some clients may feel a slight discomfort, but it’s relatively painless. Specially comparing with other type of tattoo.

How long does it last?

Depend on the type of the skin, how oily or dry it is, it will last between 1 to 3 years but clients should come back for a touch-ups once every six months.

How long does the treatment take time?

To receive the best result, we are extremely cautious and work patiently. So we spend the time to talk with you, draw the model on the paper and your skin before applying the tattoo and when we make sure you know exactly how it looks like we start with the procedure. It can last between 2 to 3 hours.

What are the aftercare instruction?
